About Me
Retired Hospital Scientist. ( worked in hospital Pathology Departments ) Live in Sydney, Australia. Hobbies are photography, bushwalking, manual scrapbooking, making items with photos online with Snapfish, x-stitch, reading, watching TV documentaries. I have a boyfriend, with whom I go out as much as is possible - we share lots of things in common - watching movies, walking. We used to go caving, canyoning, but these things are pretty well out of my reach these days. I've just taken up digital scrapbooking, & have to admit I'm addicted - but that's OK. I manage to mostly fit other stuff into the day, that needs doing. I have a feathered baby called Monty. He's a very talkative, inquisitive cockatiel, & I would totally miss him if anything were to happen to him. I have to scrap while he's in the cage, otherwise he's on the keyboard, removing the keys! Jesus is my Lord & Saviour, & my Home is Heaven - I'm very much looking forward to being there with Him.

In case you missed this saga, a very young Magpie chick ended up at a home in Australia ( Queensland to be more precise) at which there were 2 Staffordshire Terriers, Peggy & Ruby. The chick was named Molly. Everyone got on fine, until the bird was removed from the family. It has just been returned, to the joy of the 3 animals, & the 2 humans. For this LO, I used a paper from 100 Watercolor papers from Etsy, My One & Only Dog from My Memories, For the Love of Dogs by Marissa Lerin, & Lakeside Autumn by Jessica Dunn both from DS. There is also some clipart from Imgbin.com The photos are from the Media.

Oh ! what's a story !!!
Yes Doska, ...bureaucrats...!!
The story is still very fresh, thank you Bina, I had it translated. The bird is not kept in a cage and could fly back into the wild at any time. Bureaucrats...
Oh, Jill. Thanks for sharing! Love you page @Doska: The story is here https://www.theguardian.com/world/2024/mar/27/molly-the-magpie-queensland-premier-backs-return-of-instagram-hit-bird-to-...
Thanks for your comments Doska & Becky. Yes Doska, it's a true story. I just happened to catch the end, when Molly was returned to the family a couple of days ago. Apparently the story started during Covid shutdowns.
My daughter followed the whole saga, and was so happy with the end result...how dare they separate pets!!! Well done on your LO Jill.
Is this a true story Jill? Do I understand correctly that dictatorial animal rights activists separated the animals? Oh those mindless bureaucrats. But I like your journaling style scrap. Anyway, it's nice that there was a happy ending. I just can't read the title.
